PRINTS and WORKS ON PAPER

Letterpress printing is a traditional, artisanal printing method that involves hand-setting type and using vintage printing presses. Each print is a unique work of art, as the process often involves slight variations in ink distribution and impression depth. Letterpress printing requires a high level of skill and attention to detail. The process involves selecting typefaces, setting type, and carefully adjusting the press for each print. I print locally at Extra Virgin Press.

About digital art and political posters

For centuries, artists have harnessed the power of their craft to protest both subtly and overtly. Since 2022, I've delved into the realms of letterpress printing and digital graphics, viewing them not only as art but also as tools for raising awareness, fostering education, solidarity, and inspire meaningful change. I firmly believe in the transformative potential of personal expression when combined with collective action.

In pursuit of these ideals, these works draw inspiration from a diverse array of social movements, contributing to grassroots efforts for justice. This series of digital graphics serves as a commentary on existing power structures while also presenting alternatives, all the while affirming my own identity and convictions. My aim is to amplify the voices of those engaged in social justice issues, drawing inspiration from the rich historical legacy of American broadsides, broadsheets, political posters, and other printed materials.
